It's a good swap, handles power, and gearing works best with the Tacoma 3.58 ring and pinion gearing which fits into the is300 differential pumpkin which is almost identical to the stock 350z 3.53 ratio, the stock is300 3.7 or 3.9 are a bit short for the cd but still works of you want shorter gear ratios. hi there. i got is300 and my diff went some weeks ago. can i get diff from i200 and swap it with mine(is300)?? Frs/brz diff were majority 4.1 but also came with a 4.4 option and i had read somewhere they had a special edition that came with a 4.7 diff or something like that. Difference between m98 and m85 lsd. M85 is the factory manual LSD diff with a 3.7 ratio. This I know for fact. I believe the m98 is the auto trans LSD with a 3.9 ratio. I had an m85 in my manual car from the factory. I took it out to put in a welded m96 (auto, non-lsd, 3.9 ratio) diff for sliding. Of course my speedometer is off now at highway ... .
