Go into hotbar settings, there's a way to keep it from replacing hotbar 1. Then make sure you have a spot for the pet hotbar, and you should be good. I dealt with this by changing around my hotbars and keybinds, so that my "1st" hotbar would be my 3rd one. I want to use the auto-umbrella feature, but I don't want it replacing my first hotbar..
